PADS has a New Name & Expanded Scope! The steering committee for the Workshop on Principles of Advanced and Distributed Simulation (PADS 2005) (formerly called Parallel and Distributed Simulation) continues the expanded scope for PADS in 2005. In addition to the traditional focus on parallel and distributed simulation methods and applications, the workshop now includes all aspects of simulation technology. The steering and program committees look forward to a number of high-quality paper submissions in the following areas.
ACM Special Interest Group on Simulation (SIGSIM), IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Simulation (IEEE-TCSIM), and Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS)
Important Dates: Send submissions to the Program Co-Chairs no later than November 1, 2004. Electronic submission of postscript or PDF is highly encouraged, using the URL given below. Notification of acceptance will be made by December 15th, 2004. Camera ready copies must be submitted by February 15, 2005.
Submissions: Papers must be written in English and should not exceed
5000 words. Papers must be unpublished and must not be submitted for publication

double-blind review process,i.e., the identity of authors, and referees will not be
revealed to each other. To ensure blind reviewing, authors'names and affiliations
should not appear in the paper, bibliographic references should be modified so as
not to reveal the identities of the authors.
Selected articles from PADS 2005 will be considered for extension and publication within
a Special Issue of SCS Simulation.
